Welcome to the Adelaide Sportdog Club Inc. Schutzhund is a sport which requires high levels of dedication and can teach you how to train and handle your dogs as well as learning in depth detail about the dog and how it functions and its relationship and place in today’s society. It also is a form of assessment of the character of the individual dog.

Dogsport is an international sport which complements the existing canine activities in South Australia comprising three parts - Part A: Tracking, Part B: Obedience, Part C: Character Assessment, conducted under international rules. The Adelaide Sportdog Club Inc aims to educate owners of his/her responsibilities to his/her dog and his/her social responsibilities of dog ownership through positive training methodology.

Members of the Adelaide Sportdog Club Inc work towards enhancing public understanding of Dogsport and participate in all dog related activities in Australia. Some of our members are also active in their respective breed clubs and participate in ANKC conformation shows, obedience and tracking trials. The Club is affiliated with Schutzhund Australia and has close ties with many other dog clubs around Australia.

The club has a vibrant and active social scene for players and supporters, sponsors and the local community. We encourage everyone, including sponsors, supporters and past members to join our mailing list and receive regular updates on our sporting developments.

So whether you’re approaching from a professional level or a complete novice to the game, the Adelaide Sportdog Club Inc invites you to make this club, your club and your home.

If you are interested and don’t mind hard work and are challenged by the thought of obtaining an international qualification, that is a working title for your dog achieved under an international or internationally qualified judge- please contact us for further information.
